MOUNT HARRIET

Mount Harriet in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is located at a height of 365 meters in the southern part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mount Harriet is the highest point in the South Andaman.
 
During the British rule, Mount Harriet at Andaman and Nicobar Islands was the summer headquarters of the Chief Commissioner. Mount Harriet in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is located at such an altitude that it provides a fascinating view of the entire cluster of islands.


A major part of tourism at Mount Harriet of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the natural trek up to Madhuban. Following the trail along Mount Harriet, one can have a glimpse of the variegated animals, birds and butterflies found in this region. The walk along the natural trail is an exotic experience for the tourists coming to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.


But before walking the trail along Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mount Harriet, one should seek the permission from Chief Wildlife Warden in Haddo. Moreover, to stay overnight at Mount Harriet, it is mandatory for the tourists to take the permission from Warden at Port Blair.


  
Moreover, Mount Harriet houses a National Park, in the north, where tourists can get a feel of a wildlife tour. In the National Park situated near Mount Harriet, tourists can come across elephants being trained for carrying logs. Besides, the tourists can also take a ferry or even a taxi from Chatnam wharf to Bamboo flat to get an exotic view of the blissful ambiance of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.


 
The walk along the trail up to the summit is an enjoyable walk; but it is noteworthy that the summit of the Mount Harriet of water, so the tourists visiting the summit of Mount Harriet should take adequate measures before reaching the summit.
